Hawaii and Tokyo

Was just in Hawaii last week for the Hawaii International Film Festival. The Heavenly Kings made it's second to last festival and we were able to bring the whole crew minus Terence out. It was a great time. We also got to hook up with the Finishing the Game posse. Justin Lin, Roger Fan and Dustin Nguyen. It's such a funny film. If you haven't seen it, you gotta go check it out!!! That's Roger, Andrew, Conroy, Me, Patrick Lee of alivenotdead.com and the legendary Dustin Nguyen.

Inside the JAL lounge in HK. What's with these single seats? Looks like these dudes are sitting on a bus or something.

I went scuba diving with the Alive Not Dead crew and made the big mistake of having a Whopper for breakfast. After the first dive I started to feel a bit queezy and when we got to the second spot I ran to the back of the boat to spew. As soon as it hit the water, hundreds of trigger fish came to the surface and ate it all up!! Pretty neat and gross at the same time. Who knew trigger fish liked Whoppers?
This is the weirdest design I've ever seen. A Hawaiian lamp with a data port in the base? Weird specially because the data cable coming out of the wall was actually closer than this over designed port. These will end up at Goodwill a few years from now.

This is happening everywhere around the world. We must put a stop to it! Please help save innocent bugs like these from needless death!

And now I'm in Tokyo for the next three months. Looking forward to spending some time here.

Tokyo night view seems so lonely, isn't it? Feels isolated, like the chairs at the JAL lounge.. That's Japan, I guess!

helping those innocent bugs is like helping depressed people from suicide, there are many ways, but it is not able to be addressed by one solution. :p Anyway, you are full of compassion. :-)

That's a great, in-the-moment shot of you (not very green-faced but you wouldn't look green after hurling, would you?) and the fishies eating your left-overs. I distinctly remember once upon a time getting sick after eating a BK burger so I know exactly (!) what it...tastes like. Blech. ;D

I'm glad my tentative HK excursion got sidetracked, otherwise it would've been for naught as you're not there. haha. Not like I would go just to track you down, mind you... That would be ludicrous! ;) Last time I was there, you were in Thailand filming some scenes for Protege (I think).

Tokyo's fun. Check out my pics/blog when I was practically all by myself there. At the other home (not here). Ciao.

Dunno if I'll get a reply back, but hopefully I will.
Would you happen to know the song title of the song that the singer character sang in Blood Brothers? It was on during the credits as well .. can't seem to find a soundtrack of the movie, although, dunno if there is one.

Would you catch a fish and eat it if you knew it just ate your spew? Hmm...Still I can imagine that the sight of all those fishes coming up after your Whopper spew would've been really cool.

Just got back from my first trip to Tokyo myself, Tokyo is awesome. Can't wait to go back next year for Tokyo Game Show. Have a great time there!
