More Random Crap

Was in Plam Springs for a wedding, then LA dropping in on the GR masters Eric and Martin.Now I'm back in San Francisco getting ready for the screening on Friday. Here's a couple of images from the trip down south.
My buddy from highschool drove this '58 Cadillac all the way down to Palm Springs from San Francisco. The wedding was at the Frank Sinatra Estate so the car fit perfectly. They don't make cars like this anymore. This car's interior was bigger than my first apartment in Hong Kong.

Was checking out Gehry's Disney building in downtown LA and saw R2D2 there checking it out too. So I papparazzied him while his head was turned. I didn't know droids were into architecture too.

26th HKFA

I woke up with this little lady today.
This was the final end piece to The Heavenly Kings saga. Almost exactly 1 year after our premiere at the Cultural Center in HK, we take home the award for best new director at the 26th Hong Kong Film Awards in the same place. It's been a long journey that lasted a total of 4 years since it's inception. We also managed to pull off ,arguably, the strangest and whackiest performance in the history of the HKFA, as we, along with the entire crew sang our cheesy boyband song "Adam's Choice" for the last time.(will post the youtube link asap). We still have a couple more film festivals to go to, like the San Francisco International Film Fest, but last night was the emotional closure on this crazy ass project. The book is now closed! Im officially retired from boyband life! Couldn't have had a more perfect day.
Now to more serious domestic issues. My dog Buddy has a torn right ACL and is going in for an operation tomorrow. Same shit happened to me four years ago so I know what she's going though. Compunded with the fact that she has a perpetually pittiful face, I am worried and sad for her. Anyone a vet or has had a dog go through with this procedure? What do I need to do or look out for post op?

This is where I stay in South Africa. It's a traditional African hut made out of cow shit, mud and grass.
We've got no electricity, so we go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 5am.
I was planning to add a brick of my own poop but never got around to it.

This is a dumbass video I made on imovie because I was bored. I filmed Chinook when I was in South Africa in January. My girlfirend drove the atv as I hung off the back with the camera. His owner moved away so he's a very sad, lonely and ownerless dog. And now he's become a whore for affection. Youtube video quality sucks ass and I obviously have too much time on my hands.

Blog Crazy

So I just figured out how to do this blog thing. Had one before on the www.alivenotdead.com site but it was not so user friendly and was a pain in the ass to post photos so I only posted once every three months. This one's a lot easier to use but I've got some cathing up to do. Here's a backlog of crap I wanted to post:

This is obviously some really angry fat woman. I saw this outside an arts and crafts store in Emeryville, Ca. I agree that Kate Moss should not be the image of beauty but isn't a statement like this equally hateful? This bitch is just a player hater with a mini van and a lot of time on her hands.

What the fuck is this? Was staying at my friend's house in the Berkeley Hills last week and it showed up on the patio one day. Is it a mole or a gopher? The gardner laid out some poison earlier in the week. It probably ate the poison, got really high and then ODed. R.I.P.

This is my grilfriend's chihuahua, Chiquita. She likes to stay in bed all day and sleep. If she could talk she'd say, "Get that fucking flash outta my face, puta!"

I bought a helmet this trip after not having one for 15 years. Lucky I did beacuse it saved me from seeing stars three times.

I got some serious air here. Had so much hang time I was able to get my camera out and take a snap shot before landing.
